President
Linda J. Wilmore is the founder and President of Islandia
Management Group, a Commercial Property Management firm
specializing in Retail Property management and leasing.
Linda has been exclusively involved with Commercial Property
Management for over 30 years.
Linda J. Wilmore is a Certified Property Manager, a Certified
Commercial Investment Member, a Certified Shopping Center
Manager, Certified Marketing Director and a Licensed Texas
Real Estate Broker. As a commercial retail management specialist,
Linda's value enhancement capabilities are reflected
throughout her management, marketing, budgeting, forecasting
and information management skills. She currently oversees
a retail and office portfolio located throughout the Dallas/Ft.Worth
metroplex.
Prior to founding Islandia Consulting, LLC dba Islandia
Management Group in 1996, Linda was Director of Asset Management
for Equitable Real Estate Investment Management, Inc., where
she directed and oversaw management responsibilities for
a $163 million dollar national portfolio comprised of 17
commercial retail assets totaling 3,200,000 square feet.
In 1990, Linda served as Vice President and Department Manager
of the REO Income Property Group for American Federal Bank,
a federally regulated bank. As such, she directed the operations
and staff ensuring all facets of compliance from foreclosure
through enhancement to the disposition of retail, office
and industrial portfolios. Linda was personally responsible
for $92.8 million of foreclosed assets throughout the Sunbelt
region.
In 1987, Linda was the Vice President of Retail for Murray
Management Corporation. Here, she implemented all aspects
of fiscal and physical management, leasing, and profitability
for all in-house and fee-managed properties located primarily
in the Sunbelt region.
As Assistant Vice President with Henry S. Miller/Weitzman
Group in 1981, Linda managed a retail portfolio in excess
of 1,400,000 square feet. Her core experiences with collections,
leasing, maintenance, contract supervision, lease negotiations,
accounting, budgeting, marketing and implementation were
founded here.
Linda began her retail career as Marketing Director for
a super regional mall with Homart Development Company in
1977.
Linda graduated with honors from Trinity University in 1977.
Ms. Wilmore is active in the Institute of Real Estate Management,
International Council of Shopping Centers, the North Texas
Commercial Association of Realtors, Commercial Real Estate
Women, and Network of Executive Women. She is a past recipient
of ICSC's Maxi Award for Marketing Excellence.
